5 out of 5 stars Worth the price for what this magazine provides   September 16, 2005

I had read through several woman's fitness magazines. Most had too much advertising, not enough articles on health, articles on travel (who cares). Fitness RX had exactly what I wanted - they took care of the work for me of having to go to different sources to find health and fitness articles. The models they show on the cover aren't the supermodel skinny ones. Granted, it's only 6 issues, but there's definitely less fluff(advertising) than I'd seen in other magazines.

There's always an article covering a particlular muscle group and exercises you can do. It's great seeing what I've been doing in my weight training is recommended :).

There's a separate magazine published for Men and Women but they're not published at the same time. This explains the 6 issues(every other month). I got my subscription and after my first issue came, I got the men's subscription for my husband - he liked what he saw in my issue. It's interesting comparing the articles used between the two(there are some articles used in both, but makes sense if it applies to both men and women).

We both enjoy this magazine and you won't be sorry you got it :)

5 out of 5 stars Definitely a "get up and exercise" magazine!   March 20, 2004

My husband and I were in a Barnes and Noble one friday night approx..9pm and I picked up this magazine..I could not believe how motivating a magazine can be. From its simple articles on how "average women" took control of themselves and got "fit"..not just lost weight. You will find motivational "success stories", exercise tips, weight training tips, and delicious recipes. To say how motivated I was I went home and tried out a workout I found for my elliptical...and it was a GREAT workout, can't wait to do it again today! Please reward YOURSELF and GET THE MAGAZINE..it is worth of every second READING :o)

5 out of 5 stars Worth Reading Every Page   May 2, 2004

I've been an "off again/on again" athlete for years and now, at 45 years old, needed this magazine to re-inspire me to get out there and get back in shape! It's format is so easy to read, you can spend 30 seconds or 30 minutes and still feel like you've just hit on something new/different/great! I would highly recommend this magazine...

5 out of 5 stars Great Magazine   December 31, 2007

I have been reading this magazine for three years now. It has scientific, tested, and proven articles. None of the racy, superficial, brainless, sex fluff that other women's magazines try to push. You feel sexy by eating right, exercising, and learning how to treat your body well. That's what real women want to read about.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Women's Health Magazine Period   May 17, 2008

I have had many different subscriptions to health and work out magazines for women. I think you have to ignore the cover shots in the past and the fitness Rx for men. This is not a muscle bound magazine for for over zelous (I am sure I spelled that wrong) working out women. It is for real women trying to get healthy and learn how to be healthy. The biggest thing I love love love about this magazine is the studies that they have in it. It helps to prove certains things work or they don't. I have never seen studies listed in any other magazine like this one. It is also fun to read. Buy it!
