body fat tester & tracking system March 10, 2007 Loreen Hammett (Auburn, CA United States) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this item even though I knew there would be a learning curve for accuracy. I am very impressed with the results. I wish the display text was darker. And that is my ONLY complaint.
Pretty Good Actually December 10, 2009 Adrian Camilleri (Malta) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little weary after some of the negative reviews I read here and was worried about the accuracy and overall consistency of the results given by the FatTrack. I've even resorted to taking the same measurements and readings three times just to be sure that the readings were resonably accurate.
However, my fears were totally unfounded. The product gives consistent results time and time again with little deviation (other than accounting for fat loss or fat gain of course).
I would suggest that those having problems with inconsistent results should ensure that they test themselves at the same time each day.
Works ok.. Is it worth the price? April 13, 2009 Delightful Source 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The display graphics look like it came from a 1970's handheld video game and makes it difficult to read for some people.
The overall quality was ok, made of plastic and feels very lightweight/delicate like it could easily break. Personally don't think it's worth the price it's being sold for, a price of $20-$30 would be more reasonable in my opinion.
Overall the item appeared to work ok (as it should), just didn't care for the hard to read display graphics and think the price could be more realistic to what you actually get (quality). The case and software is a pleasant added bonus, still doesn't raise the value to the retail price it's being sold at.
In the Beggining March 17, 2009 Get Physically Fit (Auburn, WA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of the first tools I obtained when I renewed my business as a personal trainer was one of these BF testers. Its light weight, portable and gives you a good base line. Gives you great options and i loved the myotape that came with it.. I've since moved on to the Tanita BF-350 as I've improved my services.
Good Idea, poor quality April 21, 2007 J. Borchardt (Colorado, USA) 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
Pros:
1. Usually accurate
2. Tracking software works well
Cons:
1. Poor quality
2. Pressure button gives different results based on where your thumb is positioned
3. Unit freezes occasionally
4. Much too expensive for what you get
This little machine would be worth the money if the company would have put a little more effort into quality. The unit feels cheaply made. Mine is a week old and already a button is broken. The unit also freezes occasionally and also sometimes gives crazy readings for no reason. However, the tracking software works as advertised and is useful.
Save your money and frustration and buy a caliper from a different company and use that with the tracking software that is downloadable from the company website. This product is not worth $70; $15-$20 would be more appropriate.
